PUMPKIN PIE 5K RUN & SCENIC WALK
IN PERSON & VIRTUAL RUN FOR 2021
The 2021 edition of the PP5K is planning to run as in-person and a virtual run!
The in-person run will be held on Thanksgiving morning- November 25- based on public health mandates. If dictated by public health authorities that an in-person run is not possible, all registrants will be moved to a virtual format. Space may be limited for the in-person event.

All pick-ups will be at the Nazareth Branch
Wednesday, November 24: 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Thursday, November 25: 7:30 AM - 8: 45 AM
In-Person Race Begins at 9:00 AM sharp

When you arrive Thursday, please enter the main entrance for the Y and you will see signs to go to the left into our fitness studio where you will check-in, have a number assigned, and if you were in the first 350 participants will receive your T-shirt. To expedite the process and make it safe and as comfortable as possible for all, you should receive an email registration confirmation (or go to your runsignup.com profile) where you will have a QR code that our volunteers will scan for easy registration. We ask that due to the number of participants and the ongoing pandemic, that you would wear a mask while in the building.
Weather dependent, bib and t-shirt pick up will move to out in the parking lot for day of pick up.
Day Of Instructions:
Parking- Day of parking is best to be found on the streets (other than South Main St.) surrounding the Y. There is a municipal lot one block South on Main St. The main parking lot at the Y will be used for staging and event needs as well as volunteer parking.
Timing and Staging Locations- This year we will have staging groups based on anticipated pace, fastest at the front. We will also have a staging area, marked off by signage if you are running/walking with a stroller or dog, which will be to the rear of the running groups. Those who are participating in the 1.5 Mile Scenic Walk (Green Arrows) we would ask to start/finish to the LEFT of the timing mats and not to physically cross over the timing mat as to not throw off the timing on those running the 5K. (Don’t worry, we will repeat this on Thursday)
Disclaimer of things that are a little different this year:
We are all tired of all things COVID-related, whether that be directly related to the virus or things like supply chain shortages etc. While this year, we are most thankful to be able to have this event in person (thank you to Nazareth Borough Council, Nazareth Police Department and Public Works, and the Nazareth Area School District), there are things that we were not able to do to our desired quality or quantity as we have been impacted by all things COVID, Supply Chain, and Labor. We will have bottled water and self-serve Bananas and other Fruit etc. This year we were not able to safely or financially do some of the food and beverages we normally have available. Likewise, due to supply chain, we had to cap our T-shirt quantity lower than we have in the past. While we wish we could have done more, for this year at least, we are grateful to get the event off the ground and look forward to when we don’t have to think quite so much about these elements outside of our control. We thank you for helping us get back to events in the safest way possible.
Please remember to practice as appropriate public health hygiene. Masks will be optional outdoors, but we ask that if you use the indoor facility at all that you would wear a mask.
